ABOUT US

First Ray of Hope (FROH) Nepal is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2011. It is a social organization administered (CR-231825/2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal and located in Toha-3, Suryadarshan Height, a 30-minute journey from central Kathmandu. FROH Nepal works tirelessly for vulnerable children, children who have become orphaned, disadvantaged, deprived, or found living on the streets. Our main priority is to meet the basic needs of these children including better shelter, food, clothing, healthcare, and most importantly, education.

Currently, FROH Nepal operates one children’s home providing care for more than 25 boys and girls and some others are going to add soon. Most of the children in the homes are girls because they are more likely to be subjected to abuse and deprivation in Nepal. More than half of our girls have been rescued from lives of bonded servitude in western Nepal, and the rest are rescued from earthquake-affected districts.

To date, we have been funding this essential support for these disadvantaged children by ourselves but meeting the educational, health and recreational requirements of these children is a struggle. We are seeking assistance from individuals, companies, industries, schools, colleges, etc. to provide whatever assistance they can, to bring a brighter future for these beautiful children. As well as seeking donations, our aim is to find regular donors to provide a consistent and predictable income for this organization so that it can plan ahead and grow and provide life opportunities for even more vulnerable children.
